Terms and Conditions
Minimum stay of 2 nights is required
Reservations for accommodation are accepted by Library House, West Hobart, Tasmania 7000 (“the Booking Agent’) as agent for the owner of the property and to which bookings the below terms and conditions shall apply. Any information provided by you remains confidential for your booking purposes with Library House only.
To secure a booking, payment of 25% deposit and valid credit card details are required to confirm your booking. By paying a deposit you have read and agreed to our terms and conditions.
The remainder 75% of the payment will be charged to your credit card 30 days prior to your arrival. Should you wish to amend your payment method please contact us.
CHANGES TO ACCOMMODATION BOOKING
We will do our best to accommodate any unforeseen date changes, however changes are subject to availability. Please refer below to our cancellation policy for further details.
The guest agrees that the accommodation is booked only for the number of people actually stated on the Booking confirmation. Any additional people will be charged for at the applicable nightly rate. The guest gives Library House the authority to charge the customer’s credit card for any additional guests.
Any damages and additional charges will be processed on credit card provided. Please note where a credit card is not available, a $500 cash security bond is applicable.
Any refund as a result of Cancellation will deduct the 25% Deposit already paid. For cancellations to be refunded to 75%, cancellation must be made 30 full days prior the day of check in, otherwise no refund. For example, if the check-in is on the 25th of the month, cancellation must be made by the 25th of the previous month. If check-in is on the 31st of a month, cancellation must be made by the 30th or 31st of the previous month.
For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made 14 full days prior the day of check-in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancellation by Friday of the previous fortnight.
There will be no refund for cancellation or postponement made within 14 days of check-in.
We know life presents some curve balls, and we’d love you to stay with us, so if you wish to postpone within 14 days of your check-in date, instead of cancel your stay, we will permit you to transfer your booking deposit to another time within 12 months and we will provide you a Gift Voucher for the balance with no deduction of the service fee.
Non-arrivals will be charged the full tariff.
Library House is available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival and is to be vacated by 11:00am on the day of departure. The only way to absolutely ensure early check-in or late check-out is to book an extra day.
Please leave the key on the hallway table and shut the door as you leave.
Any in-house or alcohol catering charges outstanding will be charged to your credit card. Please use the form provided to notify us of purchasable items used.
RATES AND MERCHANT FEE
Rates are current at 31st December 2013. Prices are subject to change at 1st January each year. A merchant fee is charged for all debit and credit card transactions. 2% for Visa and MasterCard, 4% for Diners and American Express.
The Booking Agent recommends that the Guest takes out comprehensive holiday cancellation and protection insurance with a reputable insurance company to cater for any unforeseen circumstances which may arise including accident, ill health or any other matters beyond the Guest’s reasonable control, as once the booking is confirmed and receipted, the Guest will be responsible for payment of the full rental.
A complimentary midweek service is included in the tariff for all bookings 8 nights and over. Additional services are available on request and will incur a service charge.

There is fee of $50 for replacing a lost key.
Excessive noise is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund. Any unreasonable noise after 10pm will result in immediate eviction.
The neighbour locality of Library House is not suitable for parties. Please enjoy your stay however be aware we have a strict no parties policy.
All personal belongings, baggage, vehicles and other property of the Guest of any description shall be the risk of the Guest at all times and neither the Booking Agent nor the owner accepts any responsibility for any loss or damage thereto.
Breakages & Damages
We appreciate that Library House will be returned to us in the condition presented on arrival. Any excessive cleaning required or garbage removal will incur additional charges.
Breakages or damages not caused by normal wear and tear will be charged to your credit card if necessary. Please note that it is not our intention to charge for replacement or accidental broken crockery.
For reasons of safety we reserve the right to enter the property to repair any fault.
Free dedicated broadband Wifi Internet is available throughout Library House. The password for your stay will be given to you on arrival.
No responsibility is taken for personal items left on the premises during or after departure.
Library House does not accept liability for any injury, damage, loss, additional expenses and disruptions caused directly or indirectly by events, which are beyond our control (including natural disasters).
We do not accept liability for error omissions, default or negligence represented on our website.
Library House does not accept liability for changes made due to renovation, alteration and refurbishing of the property. We endeavour to keep our website updated at all times.

Library House descriptions are made in good faith. No responsibility can be taken for alleged misrepresentation.
